Circle of Friends Lice Defense Products Review & Giveaway!!

My daughter is in first grade and between this school year and last year, there has been tons of cases of head lice in her class. Luckily, she never got lice but I worry each and every time I get one of those dreaded "one of the children in your childs class has a case of head lice" letters. Not only are they a pain to get rid of but most of the products made for lice removal contain harsh chemicals and smell awful. I would much rather prevent them to begin with versus having to deal with them. Wouldn't you??

With that said, Circle of Friends sent me 3 of  their Lice Defense system products for review.

About Circle of Friends Lice Defense System

There are 2 hair care products and 2 styling products in the Lice Defense line. The hair care line includes Lice Defense shampoo and Leave-in conditioner, while the styling products are hair spray and styling gel.

The products are powerful, yet gentle enough to deter lice naturally. The key ingredients are tea tree oil, andiorba oil and lavender oil which keep lice away safely.

Unlike other brands on the market, these lice prevention products do not contain sodium laureth sulfate, lauramide DEA, alcohols or fragrances. Also because these don't contain those harsh, smelly and irritating chemicals such as those found at your local drug store, parents and children both will enjoy bath time with Circle of Friends Lice Defense due to its kid-pleasing lavender scent.

I was sent the Lice Defense shampoo, leave-in conditioner and hair spray.

I have been using the shampoo a few days per week to wash my daughters hair due to a few recent outbreaks of lice in her class. It does say it's gentle enough for daily use but she likes to mix things up as far as her shampoos etc. It was easy to use and I loved that there was no harsh smells. My daughter has no issues at all with letting me use this on her.

I use the leave-in conditioner after she gets out of her bath when her hair is still wet. Again, no harsh smells and it doesn't leave a sticky residue behind in her hair.

I use the hair spray in the mornings after combing her hair for school. I love the different layers of protection. I would be shocked at this point if she got lice.

I will continue to use the hair spray daily but since the outbreak is now over, I will probably just use the shampoo and leave-in conditioner on an as needed basis when outbreaks occur or possibly once per week just as a precaution.

Circle of Friends is giving one lucky reader the chance to win a bottle of their Lice Defense shampoo and leave-in conditioner!

I really like the organic shampoo and body wash. I learned that the gentle, tearless shampoo and body wash leaves hair feeling soft and manageable, while helping dry, sensitive skin feel clean and soothed.
