Smelly Dishwasher and Disposal Cleaner Review & Giveaway

As you may have read, I have recently reviewed Smelly Washer and Smelly Towel. Those reviews can be found here and here. For my final review from the makers of Smelly Washer, I was asked to review their Smelly Dishwasher & Disposal Cleaner product.

Fortunately, or maybe unfortunately would be better suited, I have issues with both in my home. I live in an apartment and my appliances and disposal are over 10 years old. They both work great but there is always one issue I could never resolve with them both.

For my dishwasher, I am known to not always rinse my dishes before placing them into my dishwasher. A big no no but hey, I'm a single mom with little time. This, I am sure, has caused little pieces of food to get stuck and stink up the dishwasher. Plus, I think it's just a natural thing that does happen over time anyway. That being said, I have noticed an odor in my dishwasher and have attempted in the past to get rid of it but to no avail.

So I was excited to try the Smelly Dishwasher product to see if it might help. The packets are 1 ounce each and should be used on a monthly basis for optimal benefits. I love that it's an all natural product because I really hate using smelly chemicals to clean.

I followed the directions, which are to split one packet between the soap dispensers and the bottom of the empty dishwasher and then run a complete cycle on the hottest setting possible.

Seriously..It was so simple and the results were great. The smell that was coming from my dishwasher is now gone and has remained gone.

My garbage disposal also had foul odors coming from it. Not really a shocking discovery when you consider that food gets shoved down there and pieces get left behind and can rot. Rotting food stinks so it's a no brainer why disposals get smelly over time.

Again, I followed the directions, which were to run water until hot, stop the water and add the packet to the drain, run hot water at a low stream for 3-5 seconds and allow to soak if needed. Then rinse for 2 minutes with hot water. It was that simple! I am so happy that my disposal doesn't stink anymore!

Smelly Dishwasher & Disposal Cleaner will soon be available on the Smelly Washer website so be sure to keep looking if you're interested in purchasing to get your dishwasher and/or disposal odors gone.
