Nutrisystem Week 17! #NSNation

I am moving right along on the Nutrisystem weight loss program and have finished 17 weeks on the plan. Excuse me while I feel a sense of accomplishment here. Let me tell you why: Just sticking to a plan for 17 weeks, is an accomplishment in itself for me. I don't think I have ever made it passed about 3-4 weeks on other plans. Many reasons why including the food tasted bad, took too much time to prepare or took too many ingredients that I just couldn't afford or quite simply, I was always hungry.

I am never hungry on Nutrisystem and there are some meals that I "force" myself to eat simply because you should eat all the required food every day.

So let me tell you about my week:

-Last Sunday was my Birthday. I am not at the point where I believe that I can have non Nutrisystem plan food and get right back on track. Been there, done that with the Holidays and such. Unfortunately, each time I splurged on non plan foods, it took forever to get back on track for me and I end up with a few weeks of no losses or gains. So until I feel I can eat non plan meals here and there for special occasions, I won't be splurging any. So I didn't eat anything "good" for my Birthday and I am okay with that.

Let's talk about clothing for a minute. Since I have been overweight for most of my life, clothing has always been a struggle. Needing to find larger sizes in styles that I liked, needing to shop in the fat stores etc. It was just something that I got used to over time. I would buy a top or bottoms only to get them home and they would be too small. So I would return them and go up a size or whatever.

This week has been quite interesting for clothing. My mom got me a few birthday gifts which included a pajama set. The set consisted of a t-shirt and knit pants. Size 22/24, which is typical of what I would normally wear.

So I was beyond SHOCKED that I needed to return the set because they were too BIG! Say WHAT?! TOO BIG?! That NEVER happens to me! haha And I don't mean a little big and I could deal with it. They were so big even with the pants tied at the waist, they fell down. The smaller 18/20 fits much better.

So that made me feel REAL good and hopefully I can begin to overhaul my clothing collection with new smaller sizes in other things real soon.

Last weeks weight: 313.2lbs

This weeks weight: 313.0lbs

Total loss for the week: .2lbs (hey, it's better than NO loss, I will take it)

Total overall loss in 17 weeks: 24lbs

Disclosure: Nutrisystem is providing their food and program to me free of charge in exchange for blogging about my experience as part of the Nutrisystem Nation Blogger Program. The opinions are my own and others experiences with Nutrisystem may vary.
