Walmart HP XL Ink Shopping Haul and $20 Walmart Gift Card Giveaway

Recently, the great people at MomSelect sent me a $75 Walmart gift card to purchase some HP XL ink and try to make the rest of the gift card stretch as much as possible.

I love my HP printer. It's a touchsmart wireless printer and I use it on a daily basis. The only thing I hate: I am FOREVER buying ink for it. Did you know that HP makes XL ink cartridges that can save you up to 40% on printing? I sure didn't. Yes, I've seen the HP XL ink in stores before but never realized that they are the same size as the regular cartridges. They simply hold more ink inside which allows you to save money. 

Off to Walmart I went in search of HP 564 XL ink for my printer.

After looking for a few minutes, I finally found what I needed. I tend to use black ink more than the colored ink so that's what I chose.

I was pleasantly surprised by the price of $22.98. Then I made my way through Walmart for the other things that I needed. I wish I could say that I got a ton of items using lots of coupons during my haul but I needed the items I did get, a lot more.

I was able to pick up things like Gain laundry detergent, Gain dryer sheets, Duracell batteries, Quilted Northern toilet paper, paper plates and bowls for a party I am going to have soon and a few groceries that I needed.

I went a little bit over $75 but that's okay because I am happy with what I was able to get in addition to the HP XL ink. I love Walmart because I can walk in and not spend a fortune and get a big package of toilet paper that will last for awhile or a large jug of laundry detergent that will last. Not only am I saving money at Walmart as compared to buying at my other local stores, I love saving time by not having to constantly buy these household items.
