When I think of seafood, I immediately think of Gorton's seafood. I remember eating Gorton's products as a child and have continued to enjoy them even as an adult. Gorton's continues to put out new products and I haven't tried a product from them that I haven't liked.
I tend to stick to some of my all time favorites like the fish sticks, original batter tenders and crispy battered fish fillets but sometimes venture out to try new products like simply bake and skillet crisp.
The skillet crisp is one of my new favorite Gorton's products. They are amazingly EASY to make and do come out crispy in the frying pan. I was skeptical at first as I didn't think they would come out crispy at all without using the oven but they do and are wicked good.
I have introduced Gorton's products to my daughter. She is a pretty picky eater and claims to not like seafood but loves the fish sticks, skillet crisp and original batter tenders. I try to make a seafood meal at least once per week so we can both get the nutrients that seafood provides and to get away from beef, chicken and pork based meals each and every night.
Gorton's has yet another NEW product available. Fish sandwich fillets! Now you can enjoy a nice fish sandwich at home anytime. I haven't yet tried them because my local stores don't seem to have them yet but I know when I do try them, they are sure to be delicious. Gorton's website has a ton of great recipes using their seafood products as well. If you're bored of seafood, jazz things up with a Gorton's product and one of their recipes.
One of the recipes that looks amazing is the fish sandwich BLT. Simply take one of their new fish sandwich fillets, add a bun, lettuce, tomato and bacon and you're done. You can even download a coupon at Gorton's to save on your next purchase!
Gorton's definitely has been an easy way to incorporate seafood into my dinner routine. Have you tried Gorton's seafood products? Which are your favorites?
