Cooking is something that I really enjoy doing and I know that there are certain kitchen tools that every cook needs to have. One is a food thermometer. It's so important to make sure that your foods are cooked properly and to the correct temperature so that you don't get sick.

I recently received the Eat Smart Precision Pro Food Thermometer for review purposes. I have tried other Eat Smart products in the past and have always been happy with those so I was certain this would be no different.

Once I opened the package up, I immediately noticed some great features:

-Sleek black design
-Belt clip
-Large display with backlight
-Good sized control buttons
-A list of the perfect temperatures for meats right on the thermometer
- 5 second response time
-Anti-microbial case and sleeve
-2 year limited warranty

I really like the sleek black design. It's not a big bulky thermometer to hold in my hand during use and not bulky to store in a drawer. I have not made use of the belt clip feature myself but I think it's something that's great for those who would make use of it. I appreciate the large backlight display. My eyes are not as good as they once were so having this nice display makes it easy to see what the temperature is without any issues.

The buttons for controlling this are a good size. Many other thermometers have such tiny buttons on them that you can hardly even press them. I think my favorite feature, which might be silly, is having a few perfect temperatures on the front of the thermometer. I make a lot of meat and always have to look online for the proper temperature. Now it's right on the front of my thermometer!

I think it's also fabulous and different that this has an anti-microbial case and sleeve. No bacteria is going to be forming on this and make you sick.

Eat Smart backs up their products too and this one has a 2 year limited warranty.
